In this time of Global Pandemic, entire world is going through more or less similar situations.   With some countries have a larger number of cases or deaths and some might have less but overall everyone (china may be an exception) feels everyone is in the same boat.

However, I would like to share a new different perspective to this.  All of us might be in the Same Storm but NOT in the Same Boat.

The Sea is Rough & winds are blowing hard. there may be a typhoon or hurricane or even Tsunami for that matter.  Your boat might get damaged but mine might survive.   Or maybe the other way around.

Let me explain.

For some of us, being in Lockdown or quarantine is a new experience.: Few of us are taking this as correcting our ways of living, using our creative libido in making fun of lockdown or even learning to cook and post on social media.   Evenings or may be mid-nights with non-stop web series with cup of tea or a drink.

But for some others:  This is a moment of crisis…. The daily wage earner does not know where his next meal is going to come from.  It’s not a different experience for them. it is an experience that they would not even yearn for in their lifetime.

For some of us it may be a time-off forced vacation to achieve the peace that we never had, , time to take rest that we never took and relish its value

Yet for others it could be a state of mental trauma in the constant thoughts of  ‘How am I going to pay my next EMI or may be my this month’s electricity bill or my child’s school fees.’ ?

Some of us are getting bored with the constant feeding of similar kind of food that we are eating at home for a month and we are yearning for a change in terms of “Pizza” or “Panipuri” .

Mothers are busy baking different varieties of cakes so that their children do not get bored with the food., while a bunch of other humans on this planet are concerned about the bread for the weekend, or if their rice or Atta would last for a few more days.

Some of us are busy in our “home office” – working thru Zoom and Skype, while some others not very few kms away from us are looking through trash to survive.

Some of us desperately want to go back to work because we are bored sitting at home and need some fresh air while some others want to go back to work because they are running out of money and want to ensure that they work so they get paid.

Lot of people on the earth have experienced the near death of the virus, some of them have already lost someone due to this virus and some are in deep worry whether their loved ones are going to make it,

And we have a big lot of people on this earth who don’t even believe this is a big deal and want to go out and play Golf or for a hair-cut.

Some of us have faith in God and / or doctors and expecting miracles before the end of 2020.

Some others say the worst is yet to come.

So, my dear friends, we are not in the same boat but sailing thru the same Storm in different boats.

We are all going through the time when our views and needs are completely different but out of this each one of us will emerge differently in his own way, from this storm

Some of us with a Sun-tanned skin from their pool side adventures and others with scars on the soul (for invisible reasons).

It is very imperative to see beyond what is visible naturally. May be not by Looking but by seeing deep inside.

Please do not underestimate the pain of others if you do not feel it.

All of us should neither judge the good life of those better living than  us, nor  condemn the difficult life of those.

Let us NOT BE JUDGEMENTAL.

Imagine ALL OF US ARE on different ships thru the storm looking to survive.

Let every person navigate their route and their struggle with due respect, empathy and responsibility.

Stay safe. Stay calm &. Stay healthy.
